I am an Associate Professor and Department Chair in the Department of Sociology at Rollins College. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2006. I have previously taught at Randolph-Macon College and Hofstra University.
My research focuses on issues related to care in society, including unpaid care, family leave, and care workers. I am a co-editor of Caring on the Clock: The Complexities and Contradictions of Paid Care Work (Rutgers 2015). I have published other research in Work and Occupations, the Journal of Family Issues, Social Science Research, and Social Science Quarterly.
